EPR model-makers on display at the Royal Academy
21 Jun 2019
EPR are incredibly proud to be showcased for the second year running as part of the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. The installation, curated by British artist Jock McFayden and which celebrates sustainability in its broadest sense, features EPR’s model of The Old Street Iris.
Sitting proudly in the Spencer de Greys’ architecture room, the model has been made in house by EPR model makers and comprises over 6,000 hexagonal pieces of varying timber; each carefully placed by hand over a five-day period. The model combines tradition detailed model making methods with the latest in computer drawing and laser cutting techniques.
For your chance to view the model on display, head to the Royal Academy of Arts before the 12th August 2019.
